About the Speaker

Ir. Alzakri has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Bath, UK. He joined PETRONAS in 1993 and has more than 26 years of experience in engineering practices involving pipework and pressure vessel engineering, fabrication and construction; equipment inspection, non-destructive testing, Risk Based Inspection (RBI); maintenance, repair, upgrade and modification of static equipment in petrochemical plant and refinery activities.

Previously he worked as Maintenance Engineer and Inspection Engineer in the Petrochemical & Refinery Plant environment and also as Lead Mechanical Engineer for Lube Base Oil Plant Project.

Ir. Alzakri is currently the Custodian for Static Equipment in Group Technical Solutions, PETRONAS since 2015. He is also a Professional Engineer and ASEAN Chartered Engineer.

Targeted Audience

Students / Early Career Engineers (millennials, graduate students, and young professionals with 0-10 years of work experience). Non-members are welcome as well.
